In google groups, an owner or manager can edit the membership of their groups with the following steps:
To add a user:
1) go to groups.google.com
1) go to groups.google.com
2) select My Groups
3) pick the relevant group

4) Click on Manage Members
5) Click on the `Direct Add member` link on the left
5) Click on the `Direct Add member` link on the left
6) Enter the email addresses of new members
To remove a user:

2) Select the user from the list on the right
3) Click on the Actions button on top > Remove from group
